Alley Cats Racing Squad
This illusionary Racing Squad was born out of a pair of thrift store coveralls.
After about a year of riding my absolute steed of a 150cc scooter, I began to feel too big for my britches. It was time for an upgrade. I found this pair of white coveralls in immaculate condition and as if they were tailored to my body. Instantly I knew that I wanted them to be my uniform as I cut and swerve down the Fresno streets. Through the process of starting with a sketch, transferring it with carbon paper and tediously painting the design, I was able to bring these beauties to life. To make the artwork wash safe I mixed acrylic paint with Golden’s GAC 900 and heat set it.
The final photos were taken by my dear friend Day Norman.
