This piece is an up-cycled mid-century chair that someone left for grabs in my studio building. I made simple cuts in the existing wood form and layered acrylic paint until I felt the egg had been done justice.
This piece taught me that putting in a significant amount of time and energy to push a piece in a certain direction does not make it sacred. I can and am welcome to change my mind, pulling it back from where Ive pushed it to. That push was not unnecessary as the residual energy thats poured in will still impact the final standing of the piece.
