This helmet was a few steps out of my comfort zone.

It required a few firsts such as gold leafing for the tooth and the use of nitrocellulose lacquer for the checking effect. Initially designed to test the lacquer, I learned through trial that it takes finesse to apply. After almost ruining the helmet with poor application, Im stoked that the patina and design both read clear and cohesively.

This will be the first of many using this technique.
